LOVE IS TIME
The duration on a father’s lap,
The ride on a mother’s back,
Seconds in a lover’s embrace,
Around a table a dining family,
Christ became Joseph’s child,
Moses, Pharaoh’s grandson,
Love hasn’t substance but time.
Forget bills, the poor too love,
Forget the jewelry & the poetry
“It’s the twentieth anniversary!”
For love is as good as its length!
For time is the adhesive of hearts,
It’s only time that cements love.
So, past the lusts and emotions,
And all the lovely dovey things,
Lies the valueless of time,
Love is much time as time is life,
So tell dear, wanna trade a lifetime?
Or how much time are you offering?
How much will you spend on me?
